SERVER RULES

1. No stealing or griefing. (We have plugins that will make it easy for us to detect stealers and griefers. Will result in instant ban)

2. No bullying, racism or attacking other players. (This includes building swastikas for example. Will result in instant ban)

3. No cheating or hacking. (This includes Xray and other mods that would give you a benefit over others which you added yourself and are not server-side. Will result in instant ban)

4. Pranking is allowed. You have to gain the other player's permission before killing them (also, always return items if killing someone). But if the prank is too extreme there will be consequences. (judged by the admins)

5. Be mature and friendly. Respect other's builds. Do not build lag machines or laggy builds near spawn.

6. No dupe glitches.

7. No floating trees! (this is to keep the world clean and not full of leaves in the sky) If a floating tree is found there may be consequences. This is not a joke.

8. No advertising other servers!

9. If inactive for more than a month (without notice), you will be unwhitelisted, we want to keep an active community on the server. This has room for change depending on the situation (for example if you have much work or have a vacation for a long time).

10. In the Discord server: Post messages in the right channel! Only memes in #memes and only screenshots in #screenshots for example!

11. No spamming in chat!

(If you see someone breaking a rule you should immediately report the player to me or an admin)

SHOP GUIDELINES

We have a some guidelines regarding building and maintaining a shop. We want to make it clear that we encourage building shops, but also want to keep the shopping area(s) active since they are a vital part of the server. So if you want to build a shop but think it will be hard to manage, please build it outside of the shopping area!

1. Only build a shop if you can sustainably resupply it

2. Build your shop in one of the two (see images below)

3. Do not claim a spot unless you're going to build the shop in the near future

4. Use realistic prices

5. Make the size of the shop appropriate relative to the amount of items for sale

6. Try to put some effort into the appearance of the shop

Note that these rules only applies for shops built in the shopping areas in our two community towns: the Area 69 shopping area and the Norwich hanging market. The size of these shopping areas are displayed below (relative builds can be outdated).

NETHER HUB GUIDELINES

Memelands has a large nether hub network on top of the nether roof spanning thousands of blocks, making travel quick and easy. Remember that the nether hub is a public space that everyone helps keep clean. If you happen to break something in the hub, please replace it or tell an admin about it.

1. Build your nether portals lined up in the overworld and on the nether roof before entering them. If you enter your overworld portal first, it can spawn in the regular nether and/or mess up connections of other people's portals. You divide your overworld coords by 8 to set up the portal in the right place on the nether roof. Ask for help if you need it. All portals that are linked to a portal within a 10 000 block radius of spawn (0, 0) in the overworld should be built on the nether roof.

2. Make your paths spawn proof both on the path and on top if you build a roof. We do not want pigmen blocking the ice path or ghasts spawning on the roof.

3. To add your portal to the hub, go to the largest coordinate number first and then out to the smallest. This will ensure your portal is in the right tunnel (N,S,E,W)

4. Decorations for your portal must stay within your tunnel, only extended around 3 blocks on the sides if desired. We want the hub to be clean and have plenty of room for portals.
